Warner Bros. Pictures has officially announced the upcoming release of Remain, an unprecedented cinematic collaboration bringing together two of the world’s most renowned creative minds: best-selling author Nicholas Sparks and visionary filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan. Starring Academy Award nominee Jake Gyllenhaal, the romantic mystery thriller is set to debut in international theaters beginning February 3, 2027, followed by its North American release on February 5, 2027, just in time for the Valentine’s Day season.
In Remain, Gyllenhaal stars as Tate Gordon, a reclusive architect who relocates to a quiet, coastal town to complete his latest design project. His isolated life changes completely when he encounters an alluring young woman who pulls him out of his shell. However, their blossoming connection quickly thrusts him into the center of a deadly mystery that hangs over the entire community.
An All-Star Cast and Creative Vision
Shyamalan directs the feature from his own screenplay, developed from an original story co-written by Shyamalan and Sparks. Gyllenhaal leads a stellar ensemble cast featuring Phoebe Dynevor (Bridgerton), Ashley Walters (Top Boy), Julie Hagerty (Airplane!), and Jay O. Sanders (True Detective).
