Ian McKellen’s Magneto is getting a brand new collectible, based on his on-screen look in Avengers: Doomsday. Hot Toys has now unveiled this model, inspired by the character’s appearance in the upcoming Marvel film.
The 1/6 scale figure captures McKellen’s likeness as the Master of Magnetism. It features a newly developed helmeted head sculpt with a separate rolling eyeball design. Wavy, light-gray wool hair extends from beneath Magneto’s signature helmet.
The costume recreates Magneto’s tactical ensemble with a tailored long-sleeved tunic, matching pants, and tall black boots. A belt with an X-logo buckle completes the outfit, while a gray cape features a burgundy-colored interior lining. Six interchangeable hands also give collectors different options for posing the character.
Hot Toys will offer the collectible in Standard, Special, Deluxe, and Exclusive Deluxe editions. The Deluxe version includes a battle-damaged Sentinel-themed display base with LED lighting. The Special Edition comes with a commemorative metal ring, and all versions include a stand featuring the Avengers: Doomsday logo.

McKellen previously offered a rare glimpse at Magneto’s role. During his February appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, he said, “I don’t always understand the story of these movies that I’m in… but in this one, I don’t think I’m spoiling anything by saying that Magneto destroys New Jersey. I’m sorry about that, New Jersey. My fault.”
McKellen also described filming the moment, saying he stood while the wind blew through his hair and tried to look furious. He recalled being told to “Shout the worst thing you could think of,” before shouting “Maago!” His comments definitely suggest that Magneto has a major destructive sequence in the film.
Avengers: Doomsday is expected to bring together characters from across Marvel’s multiverse. The film is scheduled to premiere in December 2026, with McKellen returning as Magneto alongside other returning X-Men actors.
