Kings of Horror to release award winning horror shorts, Mindful Meditation & Science of a Seance

Kings of Horror will be releasing award winning horror shorts, Mindful Meditation and Science of a Seance from filmmakers, Monica La Vella & Louie La Vella. Mindful Meditation won Best Horror at the New Creators Awards in Paris, France. Other accolades include Louie winning Best Director for Science of a Seance and Monica qualifying for Killer Shorts competition for her script. This new horror multi-hyphenate duo are going to be ones to watch for.

“We wanted to try shooting a couple shorts for fun with our iPhones so I wrote a handful of scripts and we picked two. After producing them we received great feedback and encouragement from family and friends to submit to film festivals, so we decided to give it a try. The response from there was beyond our expectations!” – Monica La Vella

“My mom is a huge fan of the horror genre so I’ve been a horror fan since I can remember. Fun fact, I don’t think I’ve been scared watching any horror movie in my life! Building a new formula for producing genre films is a goal of mine. Testing out this practice with horror shorts was the perfect way to create award winning content. We produced these between development of our feature film slate and quite happy with our audiences cheering us to distribute to festivals and what a successful run.” – Louie La Vella
