Why Prime Video is not releasing Reacher Season 4 Episode 9 this week
Reacher Season 4 only consists of 8 episodes and has now officially concluded. Prime Video released the finale, titled “Cut,” on September 16, 2026.
In the last episode, Reacher, Tamara, and Jacob go after the enemy after their full plan is exposed. Reacher then confronts the people behind Anna’s death. Jacob faces a turning point, whereas Plum gets the opportunity to redeem himself.
Although the current season has ended, viewers need not worry, as Amazon has already renewed the series for another outing. The streamer hasn’t disclosed a release date yet. However, based on previous release patterns, Season 5 should arrive at a similar window next year.
Amazon renewed Reacher Season 5 ahead of the current season’s premiere. Peter Friedlander, head of global television at Amazon MGM Studios, released a statement to announce the news.
It read, “From Lee Child’s globally beloved novels to its standout on-screen adaptation, Reacher has evolved into a true powerhouse franchise. The series’ ability to combine high-octane action with compelling character storytelling continues to resonate with tens of millions of viewers around the world. We’re excited to move forward with a fifth season ahead of Season Four’s debut and to build on this incredible momentum” (via Entertainment Weekly).
During San Diego Comic-Con 2026, Prime Video also revealed that the story for Reacher Season 5 will be adapted from the 20th book in Lee Child’s Jack Reacher series, titled Make Me.
