Zendaya Just Wore Leather Pants on a Hot Summer Day in NYC

When you’re a celebrity being shuttled around in a black SUV, the usual rules of seasonal dressing don’t really apply. Whether it’s freezing outside or pushing 90 degrees, anything goes when your time outdoors is limited to a quick walk between the car and your destination. This is exactly why I didn’t bat an eye when I spotted Zendaya in NYC today wearing leather pants—even though it was arguably one of the hottest days of the summer so far.

Taking a break from the delicate, bridal-style white outfits she has been sporting throughout the past few weeks for The Odyssey press tour, Zendaya opted for a black leather look instead. Her outfit featured low-waisted, slim-fitting cigarette leather pants that puddled over classic pumps, completed by a white tank top and an oversized black leather blazer.

While leather pants may seem impractical in peak summer, celebrities continue to wear them year-round. They’re versatile, inherently elevated, and make for an excellent wardrobe investment for fall and beyond.
