Blueface the controversial rapper intends to celebrate his birthday in public in LA on January 19 together with his fans who can buy tickets through Ticketmaster. This news comes as the artist is still battling his tumultuous and very public personal life which is marked by various legal problems and an unstable relationship with another reality star, Chrisean Rock. The news about his birthday party reached the public very quickly and the reactions showed that they were strongly divided, with the focus being more on the rapper’s private life rather than the party.

The artist, who was born Johnathan Porter, without a doubt, took a very casual approach to announcing his event in LA. The post on social media was very basic–just a message to the city with the words “come over” written on it. Nevertheless, the most widespread tone was that of the playing field that was created in the comments section soon after where people were divided into two camps: one supporting and the other against him with regard to his parenting, the one woman he is presently dating, and his notorious ex.
The fatherhood issue took a lion’s share of the discussion. One to the point person said, ‘Buyer Gn a Cartier watch but never bought Huggies, Pampers or Luvs is crazy work.’ Another user vented his frustration and called him a ‘deadbeat ssa father’, thus making the public scrutinizing his financial decisions about child support. These comments echo the rapper’s troubles that have been exacerbated since his child was born with Chrisean Rock.
His past relationship was the most significant issue that haunted him. ‘WE WANT CHRISEAN’ was the frequent comment. One user even claimed, ‘Everything is boring without chrisean! She is the clout!!’ This point of view suggests that there are a few people in his audience who want to see the mess the couple made as it is their main reason for being and another way to look at it is to say that they are the ones who keep the interest alive. This point was countered with vigorous arguments. One user said, ‘Yall are some dedicated clowns fr,’ while another had the advice, ’email her or sum cause her sister say she ain’t got no address.’
His current girlfriend made comparisons to his past relationship, through ominous comments warning him about his new girlfriend. ‘You better leave that wicked witch alone she’s going to tear your family apart watch mark my word,’ said one commenter implying that she is or has been practicing witchcraft, which is one of the issues surrounding her. The comments continued to debate the topics of religion and control, thus on the one hand his personal choices create a lot of online speculation and on the other hand it keeps the people glued to the world of rap.
Nevertheless, there were some who just enjoyed the drama as a source of entertainment even among the chaos. A concert attendee was very critical and did not keep her opinions to herself: ‘Boyyyy stop doing these shows and practice your performance game !! I went to a show in LA on Friday… and left early bc I was falling asleep.’ Another user was simply weary of listening to his latest song and commented, ‘Sick of hearing this song now.’
On the other hand, the supporters were all mixed up in the celebration of the Capricorn season with their joyful expressions of excitement. One very optimistic fan wrote: ‘LA Staaa Deal. It’s About To Be A Moviee.’ The other one was less talkative and just said, ‘He booked and busy,’ recognizing his hustle despite the scandal.
Nevertheless, the large number of comments on Chrisean Rock and fatherhood clearly indicate a certain truth about Blueface’s position. He typically alternates between his personal life and his professional career which he has made very visible, as a matter of fact, it is very difficult to tell which is which his professional life and personal life. The public’s involvement in this case is not so much about the events or music but rather the soap opera that has come to be associated with his life. The birthday celebration is one more episode in this never-ending saga, as it appears that the audience is more interested in the behind-the-scenes drama than in the main show. The rapper recently shared a cryptic post about his career that fueled more discussion.

Leading up to the date, it might be that the success of the event will be measured not so much by ticket sales but rather if the offline celebration can, for a short period, eclipse the online plot around his romantic entanglements and personal behavior. Following his release, he returned with a new “Babygirl” video. He also surprised fans with an acoustic performance of “Baby Girl”. In other viral news, a video from Ryan Wit Da Sauce sparked a hilarious exchange about stolen looks.
