The Batman Part II set video and photos may finally reveal clues about the DC movie’s possible villains. New footage from the London shoot features protest signs and a masked figure linked to two Batman characters.
The video shared on X handle @TheBatmanSagaNW (via londonmoviesets on TikTok) shows Robert Pattinson’s Bruce Wayne moving through a large crowd of angry Gotham residents.
Some protesters carry signs mentioning the “Court of Fowls” and “Court of Oligarchs,” which appear to reference the Court of Owls, a secret society from DC Comics. The group consists of Gotham’s wealthy elite and secretly controls parts of the city. Its deadly assassins, known as Talons, have also targeted Batman.
Another apparent clue comes from a protester wearing a mask resembling Anarky. The character is known for attacking government authority and challenging established systems through violent methods.
However, neither character has been confirmed for the sequel. The apparent references could also be deliberate misdirection from director Matt Reeves. He used similar tactics while making The Batman, including alternate footage that showed Selina Kyle with Carmine Falcone.
Could Gotham’s class divide play a bigger role in The Batman Part II?
Judging from the protest scene, Gotham’s class divide could have a larger role in The Batman Part II. Several signs focus on wealth inequality, including messages such as “The richer get richer” and “One day the poor will have nothing.”
That theme connects with the first movie’s portrayal of corruption and Gotham’s powerful families. Bruce also learned that his family history was tied to the city’s deeper social problems.
A Court of Owls storyline could expand that idea by putting Gotham’s wealthy elite at the center. Anarky could offer another angle by expressing anger toward powerful institutions. Still, the set material alone cannot confirm how either character fits the story.
The sequel brings back Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne, with Matt Reeves returning as director. New cast members include Sebastian Stan, Scarlett Johansson, Bryan Tyree Henry and Charles Dance, though their roles remain under wraps.
The Batman Part II is scheduled to arrive in theaters on February 18, 2028.
