Bruce Springsteen Praises Jeremy Allen White’s Deliver Me From Nowhere Performance

Bruce Springsteen is singing Jeremy Allen White’s praises after seeing him in Deliver Me From Nowhere.

Deliver Me From Nowhere is a forthcoming biopic about Springsteen that is written and directed by Scott Cooper. Based on Warren Zanes’ 2023 novel, Deliver Me From Nowhere: The Making of Bruce Springsteen’s Nebraska, the film will star The Bear’s White in the lead role.

Speaking with Sirius XM’s E Street Radio host Jim Rotolo, via Variety, Springsteen said that it’s “a little” strange watching somebody play him in a Hollywood movie.

What did Bruce Springsteen say about Jeremy Allen White in Deliver Me From Nowhere?

Springsteen continued, “But you get over that pretty quick. And Jeremy is such a terrific actor that you just fall right into it. He’s got an interpretation of me that I think the fans will deeply recognize. He’s just done a great job, so I’ve had a lot of fun being on the set when I can get there.”

Springsteen also said, “He sings well, he sings very well. And Jeremy Strong and Odessa Young, there’s just a tremendous cast of people. They cast the film beautifully so, it’s very exciting.”

White previously confirmed that he plans to sing and play guitar in Deliver Me From Nowhere. He told GQ in August 2024, “I’ve got a really talented group of people helping me train vocally, musically, to get ready for this thing. I’m also really lucky [that] Bruce is really supportive of the film, and so I’ve had some access to him and he’s just the greatest guy. Also, there’s just so much footage. It’s really great to go down a YouTube rabbit hole and find him at all these different periods in his life and be able to listen to his speaking voice as well as his singing voice.”

Deliver Me From Nowhere is expected to be released in United States theaters in 2025 from 20th Century Studios.
