My birthday was earlier this week, and I couldn’t help but end up feeling a little more generous when it came to treating myself. I’m usually quite a picky shopper and not one for impulse buying, but turning a new age always sparks a different attitude. It feels like permission to lean into the process of spoiling myself a bit.
My favorite gifts to give myself are little luxuries, such as Lié Studio gold hoops and a Chanel compact mirror. These are the smaller everyday items that feel elevated—things that make the ordinary a bit more special. Think a designer lip oil, chic silver dishes, a luxe perfume, and a plush bathrobe.
Some of the best places to search for items like this online are Ssense, Nordstrom, Net-a-Porter, Violet Grey, and, of course, Sephora. I also like checking smaller shops like Tangerine, Bomi, Maimoun, Cap Beauty, and Zitomer.
Below, shop a selection of items on my wish list—from me, to me.
