Late-Summer Fashion Finds from Reformation, Free People, Sézane, Shopbop, and Jenni Kayne

While I know having original style is a thing, I’m not afraid to admit that most of my outfits are rinse-and-repeat ideas from my IG Saved folder. My morning routine is not complete without a scroll through the app, gathering outfit inspiration, and brainstorming the day’s look. I follow fashion people who live everywhere from Copenhagen to Tokyo, and whenever I’m in an outfit rut, they come through for me. This season, the fashion set has mainly been wearing five brands: Reformation, Shopbop, Free People, Jenni Kayne, and Sézane. What are the most spotted pieces? Linen dresses, beaded jewelry, jelly flats, woven bags, and silk scarves, of course. To shop the pieces that global fashion people are wearing, keep reading.

When it comes to elegant but trend-forward summer pieces, Reformation is the one. Silk capri pants, butter-yellow linen, and lace-trimmed satin shorts are what all the cool girls are wearing this season. The items I’ve curated below are great for summer, but throw a cashmere sweater into the mix, and you’ve got some great fall outfits as well.

While I fully endorse purchasing an entire new outfit, sometimes an accessory or a new pair of shoes is all it takes to feel reinspired in the wardrobe department. Fashion people are shopping beaded wristlets, bangles, flip-flops, and jelly sandals with no signs of stopping anytime soon. Shop my favorites from Shopbop below.

I always look forward to Free People’s summer collections. They’re filled with ethereal pieces with a focus on cool jewelry and maximalist accessories. This year, the Me and You Midi Slip (pictured above) has been a hot item among the fashion set, and the Carrie Tube and Lowen Midi Skirt are some of the top-selling items on Who What Wear.

For coastal classic pieces, Jenni Kayne is the blueprint. Outfits with this baggy white tee, olive linen set, and the already-famous Kinney dress have been saved in my “fashion inspo” IG folder for months, and I’m overdue for an investment. Similar to the Reformation pieces, these can easily be worn into next season.

Emulating French-girl style will forever be the goal, and thanks to brands like Sézane, we Americans are one step closer to achieving it. This brand perfectly strikes the balance between trendy and timeless. The beaded necklace, silk scarf, and basket bag are my proof.
