Chase and Sarah Morrill could see the finish line on Maine Cabin Masters: All Inn. Cameras have followed the two and their crew as they’ve been working toward seeing the vision for their Waters Run Bed & Breakfast realized.
So far, bathrooms, bedrooms, library, kitchens, and dining rooms were transformed chronicled in the HGTV–Magnolia Network spinoff, However, one of the most important renovations and biggest expansion jobs were still to come. During the August 16 episode, the snowy weather was not making things easy for them.

Chase laid out plans for turning their nine-bedroom B&B, as it was when they acquired the property, to a total of 12. He met with his sister Ashley and brother-in-law Ryan Eldridge to talk about the next phase. Losing two rooms in the past reno, he looked to add three buildings: one 18×18 ADA unit with one bedroom and one bathroom, and the other two 18×28 split in half duplex style with one bedroom and bathroom. They would not have a kitchen to encourage food in the main facilities. Considering materials, construction, electricity, plumbing, heat, and everything in between, there was a $75,000 budget set aside. The deadline was set for 12 weeks. The process started by laying out the posts and laying the framework under blistering conditions. They would make tremendous progress in less than a month. “Teamwork makes the dream work,” Ryan said.

Chase had to shovel off the roof to continue with work. Matt “Dixie” Dix stopped by to see how everyone was doing and helped. Ashley took the lead on the design for the cabins as a surprise for Sarah. Sarah did provide some feedback, including wanting these parts of the property a little more rustic looking. Ashley found a company that did cedar beds. Sarah was down for some log beds. She also wanted to name the cabins after mountains. The team also made signs for the Katahdin, Mt. Abraham, Old Speck, Tumbledown, and Bigelow cabins.
Elsewhere, work was being done in the lobby and neighboring bathroom. The layout would make it an easy straight shot through the commercial kitchen. Sarah wanted to keep the fireplace, but not the floor. Chase liked the idea of carpet to help mute the echo and bring a calm and quiet atmosphere to the forefront. Chase was tasked to build a functional desk using an old chess table that had a horse base.
Daughter Maggie helped bring the furniture piece back to life for the lobby, although the tabletop would need to be completely replaced. Sarah wanted to also feature Maine art for the reception area and commissioned Matt Russ for an art piece. He invited Sarah and Ashley to come out to Vienna, Maine, where he would be inspired and paint. Sarah and Ashley did their own painting while seeing him on location, but they found it was hard to even keep the easel up due to the wind. Nori stopped by to help move things around with Sarah, her mom. It continued to be a family affair with the two other kids, Fletcher and Eva, coming in to see the finished products. They were wowed.
Not one to rest on their laurels, Chase and Sarah had their eyes on finishing up the commercial kitchen and patio. The patio area with the exterior, back deck, and the horse barn once cleared of Chase’s tools were next on the list. This was the last push with a month left before opening doors to guests.
