In case you haven’t heard of her, Drew Afualo is a Samoan TikToker with nearly 8 million followers. She’s famous for shutting down sexist trolls and standing up for women — all with an awesome sense of humor.
On Instagram, she wrote, “Getting to host the @blackadammovie premiere w my bestie @chrisolsen & Warner Bros. was truly a dream come true. I am beside myself & am so honored. Black Adam is a great movie for many reasons, but getting to see a Samoan superhero (or anti hero like me PERIOD LMFAO) on the big screen is so amazing. Representation always makes me emotional.”
And the first time my girl got to be a red carpet host, she naturally repped Samoa from head to toe. Such a powerful moment for islanders!
Drew and her man representing Samoa at the premiere of a major movie — starring a Samoan actor, no less?! WE LOVE TO SEE IT!!! Cheers to more Polynesian representation in Hollywood!
