The 11″ action figure features three removable panels that expose the anatomy of Gillman’s head, arm, and torso. It has seven points of articulation.
Thinner Blu-ray from Scream Factory
Scream Factory has revealed the specs for its Thinner Blu-ray, which drops on January 23. Based on Stephen King’s 1984 novel, the 1996 horror film is directed by Tom Holland (Child’s Play, Fright Night).
Holland co-wrote with Michael McDowell (Beeteljuice, The Nightmare Before Christmas). Robert John Burke and Joe Mantegna star with Lucinda Jenney, Michael Constantine, Kari Wuhrer, and Bethany Joy Lenz.
Special features include: a new commentary by Mantegna and producer Mitchell Galin; a new commentary by film historians Lee Gambin and Aaron Dries; a commentary by Holland and Mantegna; new interviews with Holland, Jenney, and special effects artist Vincent Guastini; a special effects featurette; and more.
Beefy Buddy Plush from Onyx the Fortuitous
Onyx the Fortuitous and the Talisman of Souls writer-director-star Andrew Bowser is entering the collectibles market with Beefy Buddy, the Marty’s Meat Hut mascot from the film. The 12″ plush is created in partnership with Bull Airs and Surreal Studios.
Three versions are available, each limited to 50: Beefy plush ($50); Beefy plush with skewer ($80); and Beefy plush with skewer, Battle Katts toys, and mini poster ($100). They’re expected to ship in the spring.
Dark Water 4K UHD from Arrow Video
Dark Water will haunt 4K Ultra HD on March 19 via Arrow Video. The 2002 Japanese horror film is presented in 4K with Dolby Vision (HDR10 compatible) and original Japanese lossless 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio with English subtitles.
Hideo Nakata (Ringu) directs from a script by Yoshihiro Nakamura and Kenichi Suzuki, based on Kôji Suzuki’s 1996 short story. Hitomi Kuroki, Rio Kanno, Mirei Oguchi, Asami Mizukawa, Fumiyo Kohinata, and Yu Tokui, star.
Special features include: interviews with Nakata, Suzuki, Kuroki, Mizukawa, cinematographer Junichiro Hayashi, and theme song artist Shikao Suga; a making-of documentary; and more.
