Michael Joy is an entrepreneur in the world of horror, working in marketing, production, and distribution. He is widely known for his PR company, Marketing Macabre, which gives an affordable option to independent filmmakers. On several occasions, Michael has explored the creative end of films being on producer on projects like Human Hibachi, Holes in the Sky, Bitter Souls, Space Goblins, and Piglet. His acting resume includes Before Hollywood: Philadelphia and the Birth of the Movies, Martin Scorsese’s Bleed For This, and What Death Leaves Behind. He is long time operations manager of the popular horror website, HorrorNews.net, but also acts as manager for UK based websites, Horror-Asylum and Horror Screams Video Vault. On the distribution front, Michael has worked with Artsploitation Films, Cinephobia Releasing, and had his own “HNN Presents” label with Bayview Entertainment. Other endeavors include his partnership with the former editor-in-chief of Fangoria Magazine, Tony Timpone and their new HNN Theatrical Screaming Screening Series as well as being Vice President of the upcoming Fear Village Haunted Attraction in Voorhees, New Jersey.
