Springfield, IL residents were treated to the hometown red carpet premiere of Horror – Scifi Thriller Holes in the Sky: The Sean Miller Story Friday September 30th. The film played at the LRS Theater in the Hoogland Center for the Arts. The theater, which seats over 400 people, saw a full house Friday night, packing the venue with local residents and out-of-towners excited to see the locally made, critically acclaimed film.
The film was preceded by trailers for other regional films Mothman by Joshua Brucker and Afterlife by Ben Harl. Among those in attendance were Holes in the Sky Director Ash Hamilton, accompanied by wife and actress Chanell Hamilton, St. Louis based actor Bishop Stevens (Revealers, Empire), and Springfield Mayor Jim Langfelder.
Holes in the Sky broke the record for most awards won for a found footage film earlier in the year, beating the Blair Witch Project, a record that was held for 23 years. The film is set to be released November 1st on Amazon and Vudu exclusively, with a tvod release shortly afterward on December 6th. Holes in the Sky was received with a standing ovation; autographs and an after party were held after the screening.
