You can pause frantically working on your Paul Atreides costume because Dune: Part Two is no longer coming to theaters in November.
On Thursday, multiple news outlets, including Variety and Deadline, reported that the film, which was initially slated for a Nov. 3 release, will now be released on March 15, 2024.
The film’s Twitter account has already been updated to reflect the new date, too.
The sequel to Dune, which came out in 2021, picks up where the previous film left off. Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya are returning in their starring roles as Duke Paul Atreides and Chani.
According to Variety, Dune: Part Two‘s pushback to March 15 has caused another Warner Bros. film, Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, to be moved from March 14 to the new date of April 12. Deadline also reported that the animated film The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim had its date moved from April 12 to Dec. 13.
For Zendaya, Dune: Part Two is the second film she’s starring in that has been moved to next year. Challengers, her erotic tennis thriller costarring Mike Faist and Josh O’Connor, was moved from Sept. 15 of this year to April 26, 2024.
