New year, new set of polls. Throughout 2021, we asked you to vote for your favorite songs by a bunch of different rock and metal artists each week, and this week, we get back into the routine.
So, what’s the best Metallica cover song? That’s what we want to find out from you in this week’s Loudwire Nights Artist of the Week poll!
Each week, we’ll be asking you to choose your favorite track from a list of 10 of the biggest songs from the next Artist of the Week’s catalog.
You’ll have until Friday at noon ET to cast your votes. We’ll then play the three tracks with the most votes during Loudwire Nights’ Artist of the Week block to start the following Monday’s show!
This week, the spotlight is on Metallica once again — but not on their own material. In 2021, Metallica released their Blacklist album in honor of the 30th anniversary of The Black Album, and it featured a wide span of artists covering different songs from the album. But Metallica have quite a collection of songs they’ve covered by other artists as well, so we decided to focus on those.
In fact, Metallica’s 1998 album Garage Inc. is an entire compilation of some of the covers they’ve done, so there are quite a few to choose from. Head below to vote for your favorite Metallica cover song, and tune into Loudwire Nights next Monday at 7PM ET to find out which three tracks prevailed.
