Ozzy Osbourne is presumably resting at home following a “very major operation” that Sharon Osbourne said would “determine the rest of his life.” Video and photos obtained by Page Six show the metal legend being discharged from a Los Angeles hospital on Tuesday (June 14th).
The singer said he had difficulty walking recently, and apparently needed an additional neck surgery to realign metal rods and pins that had become dislodged after a fall at home in early 2019. The rods were originally placed in his body following an ATV accident in 2003, but Ozzy said that a surgeon “f**ked up” an initial operation he had following the fall, leading to Monday’s surgery.
The fact that Ozzy was discharged from the hospital is a good sign that the surgery was a success. As Sharon mentioned in a social media statement on Tuesday, Ozzy was “doing well and on the road to recovery” following the operation.
In a video posted on Page Six (embedded below), Ozzy can be seen wearing all black and a neck brace as he’s being helped into a black Range Rover by a hospital attendant. Photos also show Sharon and the couple’s daughter Kelly on the hospital grounds.
Monday’s surgery came after a few years of health setbacks for the metal legend. In addition to the fall at home, he revealed in early 2020 that he was battling Parkinson’s disease, and just recently, Sharon disclosed that Ozzy contracted COVID-19, adding that she was “very worried” due to his pre-existing conditions. She later reported that Ozzy “was much better and on the mend.”
