Cass McCombs Announces New Album Heartmind, Shares New Song

Cass McCombs is coming back with his first album in three years. The new album, Heartmind, is out digitally on August 19 via Anti-. The follow-up to Tip of the Sphere includes McCombs’ recent song “Belong to Heaven,” as well as a new single called “Unproud Warrior,” featuring Wynonna Judd and Charlie Burnham. Check it out below.

McCombs recorded Heartmind in Brooklyn, New York and Burbank, California. He co-produced the LP with Shahzad Ismaily, Buddy Ross, and Ariel Rechtshaid. Heartmind is mixed by Rob Schnapf, and the record features additional contributions from Joe Russo, Kassa Overall, Danielle Haim, the Chapin Sisters, Frank LoCrasto, and Nestor Gomez.

McCombs is playing a handful of shows in California this month. He heads back out on tour in September. See his itinerary below.
