ComingSoon is debuting an exclusive The Letter League trailer from the documentary by writer and director Michelle Boyaner. The film is set to have its world premiere at the 2023 QDoc Film Festival on Saturday, November 4th at 12:00 p.m. PT.
“The Letter League is a documentary about connection. It tells the story of an adult pen pal program founded during the Covid-19 Pandemic by Heather Spooner, a queer artist from Traverse City, Michigan, with a large social media following. When the lockdown hit, Heather was concerned about her followers and she created The Letter League with the hope that her online community would find solace and connection in a time of such isolation by being matched with a pen pal, someone unknown to them and their world. Hundreds of people from around the world participated and formed meaningful connections via letters during this extremely challenging time for all.”
