A series of eerie events thrusts an unlikely trio (Boyega, Foxx, and Parris) onto the trail of a nefarious government conspiracy in this pulpy mystery caper.

They Cloned Tyrone was directed by Juel Taylor. It was written by Tony Rettenmaier and Juel Taylor. The film stars John Boyega, Jamie Foxx, Teyonah Parris, Kiefer Sutherland, David Alan Grier, and Tamberla Perry.

#TheyClonedTyrone was genius. the nuances, the symbolism, the visuals. it was a black ass movie that used black ass things to describe our own complacency in our own demise. from the perm, to the music, to the dam food. made for us, by us. i loved it.

#TheyClonedTyrone is a instant cult classic for me. Off-beat dark comedy with a message behind it. I thought it was perfectly paced & overall great storytelling. It kinda reminded me of “Sorry To Bother You”. I like this genre of black cinema.

They Cloned Tyrone had a limited release on July 14 and then landed on Netflix on July 21. It is the feature directorial debut of filmmaker Juel Taylor.
