fatal attraction 568x320 - The #1 Series On Paramount+ Is A Very Sexy Thriller

We love to see reimaginings of sexy thrillers from yesteryear. This is especially true when the new vision enlists some of our favorite actors from our tween eras. So, it makes a ton of sense that Fatal Attraction is now the #1 TV show on Paramount+.

In the series, an affair threatens the lives of Dan Gallagher and his wife, Beth, in this reimagining of the 1987 movie, exploring marriage and infidelity through the lens of modern attitudes toward strong women, personality disorders, and coercive control.

Fatal Attraction was created by Alexandra Cunningham and Kevin J. Hynes. It stars Joshua Jackson, Lizzy Caplan, Amanda Peet, Toby Huss, Alyssa Jirrels, and Reno Wilson.

The first three episodes hit Paramount+ on April 30th. As a Joshua Jackson historian, I made time to be there. After a glimpse at Twitter, I found out I wasn’t the only one ready to tune in.

Viewers are living for Joshua Jackson and Lizzy Caplan’s performances. Others are noting how this adaptation is treating Alex Forrest (played by Caplan) more fairly than the original film.

Fatal Attraction Please Work - The #1 Series On Paramount+ Is A Very Sexy Thriller

The original Fatal Attraction stars Michael Douglas and Glenn Close. It was written by James Dearden and directed by Adrian Lyne. The script has come under fire for its treatment of the leading lady but remains a pop cultural touchstone.

While many of us watched the movie way too young, it has been very fun to see this adaptation with actors we stan. If you’re not sure if you want to get into this entanglement, then check out the trailer below to change your mind.
