Legendary composer and member of Oingo Boingo, Danny Elfman has teased his return to the world of Beetlejuice. That’s right, y’all. The pieces are all coming together. So far, Michael Keaton and Tim Burton have teased their return and now Elfman has spoke to Deadline concerning his return to the world that belongs to the ghost with the most.
“I love being a fly on the wall when he’s shooting. I’ll be doing that in a couple of months, as you may know, on another Tim Burton project,” Elfman told Deadline, “That is very exciting, to return to that world.”
Rumors contend that Jenna Ortega could take on the lead role in the Beetlejuice sequel this time around. So, it looks like the band is getting back together with Wednesday Addams.
The synopsis for Beetlejuice went like this:
“After Barbara (Geena Davis) and Adam Maitland (Alec Baldwin) die in a car accident, they find themselves stuck haunting their country residence, unable to leave the house. When the unbearable Deetzes (Catherine O’Hara, Jeffrey Jones) and teen daughter Lydia (Winona Ryder) buy the home, the Maitlands attempt to scare them away without success. Their efforts attract Beetlejuice (Michael Keaton), a rambunctious spirit whose “help” quickly becomes dangerous for the Maitlands and innocent Lydia.”
