Tubi is back, baby. This time with a brand new original crime drama about all the ways love can go wrong. The free-to-stream platform has dropped Romeo & Juliet Killers for your viewing displeasure, and honestly, we’re intrigued.

Inspired by the “Ripped from the Headlines” true crime story of a rebellious teen and her boyfriend who murdered her single mother in their upscale, gated community in Northern California and were dubbed a modern-day Romeo and Juliet when they ran away and attempted suicide. Romeo & Juliet Killers is serving up classic Tubi exploitative true crime schlock, and we couldn’t ask for anything else.

This is not the first dark and stormy Tubi original to hit the streets by any means. We recently caught word of religious thriller Unborn and Tony Todd vehicle Hellblazers just last month alone. Now Tubi is turning up the volume with a murderous thriller about love, betrayal and why dating bad boys with eyeliner has its consequences. Sure, they’re hot as hell. But at what cost?
