Sabrina the Teenage Witch’s very own Kiernan Shipka has joined the cast of Twisters, the sequel to 1998’s tornado-filled awesomeness. The additions to this cast have been growing constantly from week to week. There aren’t a lot of details concerning the actual script for this one but we are still very excited to see what the film does. From Mad Men and on Shipka has been a fantastic presence in film and TV. You need to look no further than her work in The Blackcoat’s Daughter.
The synopsis for Twister went like this:
“During the approach of the most powerful storm in decades, university professor Dr. Jo Harding (Helen Hunt) and an underfunded team of students prepare the prototype for Dorothy, a ground-breaking tornado data-gathering device conceived by her estranged husband, Bill (Bill Paxton). When Harding tells Bill that Dorothy is ready for testing — and that their privately funded rival Dr. Jonas Miller (Cary Elwes) has stolen the idea and built his own — Bill rejoins the team for one last mission.“
Twisters also star Maura Tierney, Harry Hadden-Paton, Sasha Lane, Nik Dodani, David Corenswet, Tunde Adebimpe, Katy O’Brian, Daisy Edgar-Jones, Brandon Perea, Glen Powell, and Anthony Ramos.
Twisters arrive in theaters beginning July 19.
