The reality star joins ‘AHS’ alum Emma Roberts in the forthcoming entry of Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk’s long-running FX anthology, dubbed ‘Delicate’ and based on a forthcoming book by Danielle Valentine.
Kim Kardashian let her fans know today that she will be joining Emma Roberts in season 12 of American Horror Story. Kim posted a clip on Instagram that reads, “Emma Roberts & Kim Kardashian are Delicate.” It then flashes to the show’s title with the iconic intro music.
AHS is renowned for keeping the plot of each season under wraps for a considerable time, so presently there is no information available regarding Kim Kardashian’s role, her character’s association with Emma’s role, or the duration of Kim’s appearance in the season.

“Kim is among the biggest and brightest television stars in the world and we are thrilled to welcome her to the AHS family,” said AHS co-creator Murphy in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter. “Emma and I are excited about collaborating with this true force in the culture. Halley Feiffer has written a fun, stylish and ultimately terrifying role especially for Kim, and this season is ambitious and unlike anything we have ever done.”
Murphy and Kardashian are friends, and the prolific TV producer and filmmaker is said to have been impressed with her well-received 2021 hosting gig on Saturday Night Live. They began speaking last summer about crafting a unique role for her scripted TV debut.

Emma’s return is a big deal for fans of AHS. She previously appeared in Coven, which was back in season 3, and has not been seen on the show since the 1984 season in 2019. However, we’ve been eagerly awaiting her return.
We do have a little info to go on about what to expect thanks to The Hollywood Reporter. THR states:
Unlike previous iterations of AHS, however, there is at least something to go on. For the first time in the anthology’s history, it’s leaning into source material. The season is titled Delicate and is based, at least in part, on Danielle Valentine’s upcoming novel Delicate Condition. Out in August from Sourcebooks Landmark, the novel is described as a gripping thriller about a woman who becomes convinced that a sinister figure is going to great lengths to make sure her pregnancy never happens. A cover blurb from author Andrea Bartz describes Delicate Condition as “the feminist update to Rosemary’s Baby we all needed.”
