This Halloween yard decoration even has news anchors stumped. In a story coming from ABC 7 in Chicago, a Plainsville family have taken their love of the Netflix series Stranger Things to new heights by creating a life-like effagy of Max Mayfield and suspending her in mid-air.
The trick is so well executed, people are wondering how they did it. Dave and Aubrey Appel are the masterminds behind the illusion and they are keeping tight-lipped about the effect.
The scene is taken from Stranger Things, specifically when Max is in the metaphysical clutches of Vecna, the demon who resides in the Upside Down; an otherworldly dimension.
The mystifying prop has gone viral, generating over 14 million views on Tik Tok. One has to wonder if this isn’t the show stopper on Halloween night, what else does the family have planned for trick or treaters?
Speaking of Stranger Things, the house where the series was partially filmed is up for sale. The moderately priced property, around $300K, also comes with six acres of land. Sadly, the home isn’t in the fictional town of Hawkins, but in Fayetteville, GA. The listing suggests turning it into an AirBnB
“I mean, How cool would it be to own the infamous Stranger Things house? Don’t get stuck in the upside down though, this home does need a full rehab, but with the right owner the potential return on investment (ROI) could be HUGE! Since the show was aired fans have traveled far and wide, almost daily, just to drive by and get a picture. So much so that the owners had to put up a driveway barricade and ‘Private Property’ signs just to keep people from trespassing, so needless to say the house gets a ton of attention. “
The listing also asks that people respect the current owners and their property.
Playing a prominent role in the first season of Stranger Things, the house is being sold as-is; that is realtor speak for, “it needs a lot of work.”
