When did The Row’s Margaux bag launch?

Like the origin story of many It bags, chances are that when Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen’s brand first released the Margaux, they didn’t expect it to take off like it did. Launched in 2018, the bag has become a staple of The Row’s accessory collection, released every season in four sizes — 10, 12, 15, and 17 inches — and a variety of colour ways that sound as delectable as carrying the bag must feel, including black, mocha and cognac. Given how exclusive the handbag is (more on that below), the Margaux is also unsurprisingly elusive, making it a hot ticket item on fashion resale sites, sometimes selling for at least double the original price at upwards of $11,000 dollars. The Margaux is currently sold out in all sizes across these sites, meaning your best bet it to keep your eyes peeled and keep checking resale sites like it’s your day job (and maybe befriend your local sales associate?).

But the fact that we can’t get our hands on the bag is kind of the point, right? It wouldn’t be an It bag if everyone carried it.
