Love Island USA Season 7 crowned the winners, and it was the perfect ending to a disastrous season.
Casting attempted to recreate the PPG group that Season 6 had with Serena, Leah, and JaNa, but it fell short – big time!
However, amid all of the drama and chaos, Amaya and Bryan came out on top. Two Dominican contestants who found love and trust with each other took the prize money and split it.

I was rooting for Amaya Papaya from the start – her unapologetic self was a huge green flag after all the red flags floating around.
The problematic casting of influencers and other contestants who knew each other added to the distaste of Love Island USA Season 7.
Amaya and Bryan Win Love Island USA Season 7
The final four couples were surprising, except Amaya and Bryan.
Their genuine connection was the highlight of the season, and from the moment he stepped in to defend her when three men felt the need to tear apart her character, it was written in the stars.

Huda and Chris were a disaster from the beginning. She was all over the place and did too much, which only further complicated things.
They called it quits right after they were put into the final four, and Chelley and Ace were sent packing.
Iris and Pepe were a decent couple, but not finale-worthy.
After watching her connection for TJ grow and seeing her bawl when he left, it felt awkward to watch her and Pepe develop something.
However, if they remain together outside of the Villa, I wish them the best.

Nic and Olandria had so many fans screaming for them from the rooftops.
Still, it just felt forced to me after seeing them thrown together following both being eliminated during the Casa Amor chaos.
Amaya was genuine in her speech about being true to yourself and finding someone who will accept who you are.
She took a lot of crap from the men in the Villa, showing all of them that she was a winner through and through.

Looking Ahead to Season 8 of Love Island USA
Season 7 of Love Island USA was a mess. It didn’t come close to what Season 6 was for many viewers.
It was quite the opposite. The changes made, the challenges switched up, and the caliber of talent tapped wasn’t what anyone expected – or wanted.
However, Amaya and Bryan proved that finding a connection and nurturing it could still make the season worth it.
While I believed I would dump the show moving forward, after watching the Season 7 finale, I will give it another shot.

Hopefully, casting learns a thing or two about digging into the contestants’ social media accounts, taking action swiftly when it’s needed, and picking regular people who aren’t just trying to skate by for the chance at $100,000.
Love Island USA has a chance to turn things around, especially if they consider what the viewers have said over the last six weeks.
Everyone doesn’t deserve a platform, and casting needs a shakeup if the series is to be redeemable.
What did you think about the finale? Does the win give you hope for Love Island Season 8?
